It all starts with a story...

In the realm of corporate landscapes, where innovation and growth are the bedrock of success, one small biomedical technology supply company stands out with its remarkable journey. Introducing:

At Globocom, our vision goes beyond profits; it's about pioneering possibilities. We believe in pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and daring to dream. Our commitment to innovation has not only transformed our company but also redefined our industry. With each groundbreaking discovery, we're reshaping the future, one innovation at a time. As we expand, our aim remains unchanged: to improve lives through science and technology, leaving an indelible mark on the world.

Wade Bishop - General Manager

Globocom is emerging from humble beginnings as a small US-based biomedical technology supply company. For three decades, the company diligently navigated the industry, consistently delivering solutions to its customers. But a breakthrough in production methods has propelled them into the limelight, allowing them to offer products at a fraction of the cost of their competitors.

Recognising that growth is imminent, it's leadership recognizes the need for an HCM system, akin to real-life platforms like Workday or SuccessFactors, to seamlessly manage the impending expansion. The decision is made to kick off the implementation ahead of the actual expansion, allowing time for a robust system to be in place.

Synthetic Dataset Creation: Inspiration From Fiction

Now, let's bridge the gap between fiction and reality by outlining the steps required to create a synthetic HR dataset that illustrates Globocom's journey:

  1. Project Planning and Scope Definition: Set clear objectives for the synthetic dataset project, aligning it with Globocom's expansion timeline. Define the size, complexity, and data points required to capture the essence of the company's growth.

  2. Company Structure Design: Create a mock organizational structure mirroring Globocom's locations, complete with hierarchical levels, business units, and cost centers.

  3. Populate Worker Data: Generate synthetic worker profiles, including personal information, employment history, and demographic details.

  4. Reflect Expansion: Expand the dataset as the company expands, introducing new locations, worker profiles, and organizational units in sync with Globocom's growth.

  5. Introduce Business Events: Simulate events like new product launches, facility openings, and recruitment drives to emulate Globocom's real-world activities during expansion.

  6. Dataset Enrichment: Gradually introduce additional data points, such as employee engagement scores, performance metrics, and more, to mirror the evolving needs of Globocom's HR analytics.

As we bid farewell to the world of fiction and delve into the reality of synthetic dataset creation, we're excited to mirror Globocom's journey of growth, innovation, and transformation.
